Construction Management
Design and Construction

Under a Design & Construction commission, Bovis Lend Lease is responsible for all aspects of project delivery including design, procurement, authority approvals, construction, commissioning and hand-over to the client. We act as a turnkey contractor and assume the roles of designer, general contractor, project manager and construction manager all bundled into one.
In this type of commission, Bovis Lend Lease offers a fixed lump sum price for the design & construction of a project in response to a requirement brief or concept design issued by the client. Bovis Lend Lease provides a single point of accountability to the client for time, cost, safety and quality aspects of a project.
This form of contracting is very suitable for clients when time is a critical factor. A considerable saving in project duration is achieved by the parallel progression of Design and Construction, which cannot be achieved in the traditional project delivery models. This is also true when certain design elements are crucial for a sustainable outcome where Bovis Lend Lease incorporates the end user considerations right at the design stage.
Examples of projects delivered via the Design and Construction model include Xilinx Asia Pacific Headquarters in Singapore, Alamanda Shopping Mall in Putrajaya, Malaysia and SAP Labs Campus in Bangalore, India.
