Since our founding in Australia in 1951, under the name of Civil & Civic, Bovis Lend Lease has led the industry in the creation of innovative and sustainable places. Across Australia, we employ nearly 1,600 people with headquarters in Sydney and offices in Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide and Perth.

Our focus

In Australia, we have a specialist focus on the project management and construction of commercial, retail, healthcare, education, government, water and infrastructure sectors. We also provide design expertise through our in-house specialists, Lend Lease design, as well as multi-site programme management, capital works management and consulting services.

Our projects

We have approximately 50 current projects underway, including the Darling Walk precinct and Top Ryde City shopping centre in Sydney, 500 school projects as part of the Building the Education Revolution program, and the two largest healthcare projects currently underway in Australia, the new Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne and Gold Coast University Hospital in Queensland.

Bovis Lend Lease was named the largest commercial and community construction company in Australia in the 2008/09 HIA-AI Group-Reed Construction Data Construction 100 report, having secured nearly $4.4 billion worth of projects over the year.

Leaders in sustainability

Sustainability defines the way we do business. We lead the way in the creation of sustainable spaces, having delivered one in seven of Australia’s Green Star certified buildings, including our new Victorian head office, The Gauge, which recently received the first 6 Star Green Star Office as Built rating and a 6 Star Green Star Office Interiors rating. Our team includes more than 100 Green Star Accredited Professionals, working to create more sustainable outcomes for our clients.

We not only deliver the most sustainable buildings, but recognize that we must also create them in a responsible way. In everything we do, we aim to reduce the energy, water and waste impact of our business. We partner with our supply chain to source the best possible materials and recycle as much waste as possible from our sites.
